Open Call
Oh no—Issue 2 is lurking around the corner like a ghoul!
Did you read Broken Stone Review’s first issue and think to yourself, This isn’t even that good. I could do an equal or better job, and I’m an idiot. A total stinking idiot? Well, I hope not, but if you did, your moment is now!
You are cordially invited to be a part of Broken Stone Review.
For Broken Stone’s second issue, we are compiling work that engages the theme, "Time/Travel." Work that attends to questions, qualities, quandaries, and quibbles surrounding Time, Travel, Time Travel, and Travel Time. We want to hear about your fear of flying, your love of sci-fi, your nostalgic yearning for simpler times, your dream (or nightmare) vacation, sentimentality, seasonality, and everything in between.
Broken Stone is committed to being a multimedia and genre-less journal. We welcome work of all kinds, provided that we can find a way to incorporate it into the Substack format.
Think your idea is too odd? You're wrong! Never published before? Don’t care!
Our deadline for initial submissions/pitches is June 26th, with a collaborative (and brief) revision process to follow, depending on the nature of the work. This issue will be released online in the second half of July. We are happy to include work that has been published elsewhere in the past—please just note in your responses whether this is the case.
Please reach out to eliasleveyswain@gmail.com or @BrokenStoneReview on IG with any questions.
Thank you for being here.
Elias Levey-Swain
P.S. I linked this indiscriminately in the text above, but here again is our submission form.
